Wish List

Y’all, I have been working on this post for the past few days, seven to be exact...HA!! I finally decided to get organized and write things down and that helped so much.  

I try to have a little “wish list” of items that I want so when my birthday or a holiday rolls around then I am prepared.  Some birthdays B will surprise me with a big gift and sometimes he will just let me buy for myself.  On Thursday, he surprised me with some small goodies: bday balloons, Starbucks, Ferrero Rocher, and a leopard mask.  I felt loved but that meant I could shop from my “wish list.” Yippee!! 

These are my wishes: 

Bogg bag

Layered necklace (kendra scott or amazon)

Perfume (Gold by Niven Morgan or mini discovery set from Sephora, trying to decide) 

Nickel and Suede earrings  purchased several pairs

Kendra Scott gold hoop earrings  bought inexpensive pair from Apple Blvd

Tory Burch Manon Thong sandal

Amazon Echo Dot purchased Amazon Prime Day

Kindle Paperwhite

Shark ION robot vacuum 

This list doesn’t mean I get everything on it and sometimes I add or delete things but it’s always a good start.

Friday Favorites: 1/22/21

Ahhhhhh, it's my favorite day of the week! Anyone else feel like January is flying by?! Kinda loving it because spring is coming.  I am joining Erika and Andrea for their fabulous link up:  ONE:    We went on a little trip to the Tyler Zoo on Sunday.  It is a smaller zoo than Dallas or Ft. Worth but I tend to enjoy them even more because it is more manageable with the boys. We saw some great animals!  This longhorn was beautiful!  The lion was very active and kept roaring.   He was so loud and could be heard all over the zoo.  These guys scared me because I thought the cage was empty until I spotted them in the corner.   The only downfall for me was that there were way too many people not wearing masks for my comfort level.  We have visited 2 other smaller zoos in the past few months and generally most people will wear a mask even though we are outdoors. Happy Wednesday, friends!  Today, I am joining Anne from  In Residence  for her monthly  Currently   post.  The first Wednesday of the month she provides a one word prompt to discuss and share. These are so fun to write up and to read.   Currently Arranging: Our  new rug! We had been waiting on one we ordered back in December that was a Magnolia rug but after the date of arrival getting pushed back several times we just decided to get something in stock. We ordered both rugs from the furniture store we got our sectional. We are loving our new rug!  Currently Craving:  Ahhhh, without a doubt my mom’s home cooking. Hello Monday: Currently

Ahhhhhh, friends! Last week was a doozy. I love you TX but not your crazy weather.  Then  Now  I thought today I would just share a few things currently on my mind or currently going on in our life. It will be random but that’s how it goes!  #1- As you know, TX got hit with snowstorms and very frigid temps last week. At times, we were even colder than Alaska.   We heard from our family and friends and some were dealing with the rolling outages, no power for hours which went into days, and no water.  We were very lucky because our only issue was spotty cable/ internet. It was hard knowing that others were suffering while we were okay. However, we did what was encouraged and that was to conserve energy and water. We unplugged appliances, lowered our heat, and used only the microwave or air fryer to cook meals.  We did get to enjoy the snow, had a snowball fight  and made snow angels.  We had to improvise when it came to our snow gear.  We layered socks for mittens and we had these boots
