Hi!!!  It’s been a busy week with A LOT happening so this was the only post I could get done.  Let’s go ahead and jump into my favorites from the week!  Linking up with Erika and Andrea:  Just so you know, my favorite finds are usually things that I love, bring me joy, something I have seen, or things from everyday life. It’s nothing fancy and most of the time my pictures are not the best quality. However, I hope you will find inspiration, something new, or we can just bond over a fave!  ONE: C was needing new shorts and Wal-Mart did not have anything. So, I went to my next favorite place...Old Navy.   I selected a few staples for him which should last through the fall.  We bought these in the past and they hold up nicely.  They were only $6.  TWO: Easter snuck up on me and I just decorated this week. I kept it simple this year but seeing the decorations has been a favorite!  Now,  I am looking at finding an activity for C that explains why we celebrate Easter  THREE: I needed a few be

Hey, it’s time for  What’s Up Wednesday!   Each month we share what’s going on in our lives. A little about what we are eating, loving, dreading, watching, listening to, and so much more!   Linking up with: What we’re eating Always a mystery! What I’m reminiscing about I answered some questions to reflect last year which you can read here .  I am still thinking about life then. I am so glad we are on the other side and things are improving.  What I’m loving Completely obsessed and loving nail strips!   Also, loving these rain boots from Wal-Mart.  They were going to be in Easter baskets but we got rain last week and needed them.  What I’ve been up to Just enjoying these spring days with nice weather! What I’m dreading  Nothing at the moment!  What I’m excited about The boys have a little photo session on Friday. I found the cutest overalls for D at Carter’s. They were 50% off which made it even better.  Babies in overalls, it doesn’t  get any cuter!  What I’m watching/ reading I finish

HEY, HEY!!!  We made it through another week and I am SO ready for the weekend! Anyone else? I am going to blame the time change on wreaking havoc on my kiddos this week. 😬  Just so you know, my favorite finds are usually things that I love, bring me joy, something I have seen, or things from everyday life. It’s nothing fancy and most of the time my pictures are just real life over here.  However, I hope you will find inspiration, something new, or we can just bond over a fave!  Linking up with Erika and Andrea:    We got these pretzels at Wal-Mart on a whim and we are loving them!   I zap them for 60 seconds, melt butter to put on top and add some sea salt. Yummy! There is probably a cheese dip that would go great with these but I havent researched that far. HA!  Another fave was an early Easter package from my cousin. She sent the boys all kinds of great goodies.   We loved everything and it made our week!  I did a little Target drive up and I added some pampering items for myself.

Tuesday Talk: Nails

Image
Happy Tuesday, y’all!   The sun is shining and it feels like it is going to be a great week!   It’s time for Tuesday Talk! This is always fun because we can share whatever we want and still get to link up with other fun bloggers.  Today I wanted to discuss all the cute manicures I keep seeing on everyone BUT more specifically the really cute nail strip/ sticker options! Before Covid, I would only get a mani/ pedi for  special occasions or just every once in awhile for a little pampering. I think the last mani/ pedi was right before D was born in August 2019.  ðŸ˜³  I keep seeing people (on Fb and Insta) with really cute nails. Different nail colors on each finger, glitter and designs! What?!?!  I don’t have time to spend an hour at the nail salon so I really feel like the nail strip option is what this mama needs. I have researched a little but thought I would ask here too.  I have really small fingernails so should I consider a kid option.  Color Street, Target brand or Wal- Mart?!! Ama

10 questions-One year of the pandemic

HAPPY MONDAY!   I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  The Queen in Between shared some questions last week about the pandemic which made me want to join her in answering them today.  These came from a podcast from Laura Tremaine.  Here are the questions!  1. What was life like in early 2020?  In early 2020, I was adjusting to being back at work after maternity leave.  Being a mom with a 2 year old and 5 month old was hard but we were figuring it out. We weren’t really going places because D was so little and our biggest worry was him getting sick with the flu.  2. What was the biggest change? The biggest change when Covid hit was adjusting to working from home with 2 small children.  D was 7 months at the time.  3.  What were your coping mechanisms?  I did not have the best coping mechanisms during this time. In fact, I began to have anxiety and couldn’t eat, wasn’t sleeping, and I was just overwhelmed a lot of the time. Work was demanding and trying to take care of kids at the same

Boy, am I glad to see you FRIDAY ! It has been cloudy this week and it put a damper on my mood. I am so ready for the weekend.  Linking up with Erika and Andrea:  My favorites this week are mainly shows and a recommendation. Nothing thrilling just everyday life stuff. 😉 ONE: My first favorite is dedicated to the Oprah interview with Harry and Meghan.  OH. MY. WORD.  Did you watch? What did you think? I was glued to the TV so I could digest everything they said.  This was their truth and it explained a lot of what was happening behind the scenes. I hope that they can repair the relationships with those that hurt them. They did share that they are having a little girl!  I already mentioned awhile back that I think it will be an August baby. If you haven’t watched it you MUST!  TWO: A long time favorite of mine is The Voice!  I love it because we can watch as a family.  Their banter is hilarious and the contestants are always so talented. Glad this one is back!  THREE: I have been sne

Just keeping it simple today with 3 things on my mind!  #1-  I love most holidays! You name it and I will decorate, probably be wearing a festive shirt, and make a big deal about it. But, one of the holidays that gets neglected in our house is St. Patrick’s Day.  I have no idea why.   In the past, I just oblige and wear  green. Boring! I don’t think I am going to go crazy with decor and all that but I might add some kind of green food/ fun dessert to our day. We did grab a Shamrock shake from McDonald’s but we didn’t love it.  Do you have any fun traditions for St. Patrick’s Day?   #2 Guys, I am thinking about Easter too!  This year it is  the first Sunday in April which is early. I saw some really cute plaid shirts at Wal-Mart for the boys that I need to pick up the next time I am there. I also need to buy some Easter basket goodies. Here are some of the items on my list: chalk, bubbles, snacks, stickers/tattoos, a new baseball hat, and rain boots. I also need to investigate about Eas

Monday Motivation

🎤 Monday, Monday  🎼 bah-da bah-da-da-da 🎼 I have that song from The Mamas and the Papas running  through my mind.    I am linking  up with The Other Side of the Road, My Glittery Heart, and The Sirois Family for: Alli from Simply Small Town  does a Motivation Monday from time to time and it seemed like a great idea for today. I am in need of motivation, encouragement, and positivity. This week I am going to start working on my resume and hopefully apply to a few districts. I seem to be going through ALL THE FEELINGS. So, I am giving myself a pep talk and I thought maybe someone else might need this too!  I will be reminding myself not to be fearful of the changes/ decisions that are coming.  I just need to complete this step to get to the next and the next and then the next.   Have a great day!  -A-
