2021
Happy New Year, friends! Can you believe it’s the first Friday of the year?! I usually share my favorites but I am going to divert for today.
I am still joining Erika and Andrea for the link up!
After the events on Wednesday, my heart has been heavy and I thought it was perfect timing to share my word of the year. I used to try and make resolutions but I am just not disciplined enough to keep it up all year. I usually fail within the first couple of days. 🤦🏻♀️ So, I love the idea of a word and have been choosing one for the last couple of years.
The word HOPE has been on my heart and mind a lot.
With this new year, I am hopeful for so many things:
*we have been engaging in low risk activities and not doing these things*
Play dates with friends
Kids returning to preschool
Returning to work
Keno nights
Going back to the gym
Eating in restaurants
Going to the movies
Birthday celebrations
Family vacations- not tiny houses!
Family reunions
Businesses no longer struggling
More distribution of the vaccine
People no longer dying from this virus
Returning to a little bit of normalcy without worrying about getting sick
And with the events that unfolded this week I felt disbelief, fear, anger, and sadness. But, I am choosing to hold onto HOPE for our nation’s future as well.
A friend posted this verse on FB and it was perfect❤️
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Much love to you all. I will be back next week with more lighthearted things. Enjoy your weekend!
