Wal-Mart & Target Finds

Hi Friends, Happy Monday! 

Can you believe it’s the last week of January?  I’m not sad about it. Our weekend was uneventful since the weather was a little dreary. This week’s forecast has some sun so hopefully we can get out and enjoy it.

I got a chance to get out of the house yesterday alone. 🙌 WHOOOHOOOO!  I went to Wal-Mart and Target and saw a few things that caught my eye. I didn’t buy anything since I am trying to shop a little smarter. But, I knew I had to share with you. Okay, let’s get started! 

The tie-dye trend seems to still be going strong. Are you a fan? I definitely love it. Just take a look at these cuties!

And these for $14.98!

I also spotted these sweatshirts for $12.88.  These are my style: comfy, loose, and long. Cool Mom was in my cart but then I decided I really didn't need it.  They had some other options but these 3 spoke to me. Any one of these would make a really cute Vday gift. I am going to have to go back and get Cool Mom. 😬

If I were still working then I would have snatched up this cardigan for my work attire. Lots of great color combinations! It would be so cute with white jeans.

The only thing that caught my attention at Target was  this vinyl rug. 

So cute, right?!  I don’t know how I feel about the price but it might be an option for the laundry room make over. Not sure if B knows it is happening but he will soon find out.

    Great finds! Sometimes I will browse around the Walmart clothes section and find so many great things! When you said it was the last week of January, I did a double take!! This month has gone by so fast!

    It’s a little Magnolia-esque!!! Plus there is another company Letterfolk that does similar rugs. You should get the tie-dye if it is on sale!!!

Friday Favorites: 1/22/21

Ahhhhhh, it's my favorite day of the week! Anyone else feel like January is flying by?! Kinda loving it because spring is coming.  I am joining Erika and Andrea for their fabulous link up:  ONE:    We went on a little trip to the Tyler Zoo on Sunday.  It is a smaller zoo than Dallas or Ft. Worth but I tend to enjoy them even more because it is more manageable with the boys. We saw some great animals!  This longhorn was beautiful!  The lion was very active and kept roaring.   He was so loud and could be heard all over the zoo.  These guys scared me because I thought the cage was empty until I spotted them in the corner.   The only downfall for me was that there were way too many people not wearing masks for my comfort level.  We have visited 2 other smaller zoos in the past few months and generally most people will wear a mask even though we are outdoors. Happy Wednesday, friends!  Today, I am joining Anne from  In Residence  for her monthly  Currently   post.  The first Wednesday of the month she provides a one word prompt to discuss and share. These are so fun to write up and to read.   Currently Arranging: Our  new rug! We had been waiting on one we ordered back in December that was a Magnolia rug but after the date of arrival getting pushed back several times we just decided to get something in stock. We ordered both rugs from the furniture store we got our sectional. We are loving our new rug!  Currently Craving:  Ahhhh, without a doubt my mom’s home cooking. Hello Monday: Currently

Ahhhhhh, friends! Last week was a doozy. I love you TX but not your crazy weather.  Then  Now  I thought today I would just share a few things currently on my mind or currently going on in our life. It will be random but that’s how it goes!  #1- As you know, TX got hit with snowstorms and very frigid temps last week. At times, we were even colder than Alaska.   We heard from our family and friends and some were dealing with the rolling outages, no power for hours which went into days, and no water.  We were very lucky because our only issue was spotty cable/ internet. It was hard knowing that others were suffering while we were okay. However, we did what was encouraged and that was to conserve energy and water. We unplugged appliances, lowered our heat, and used only the microwave or air fryer to cook meals.  We did get to enjoy the snow, had a snowball fight  and made snow angels.  We had to improvise when it came to our snow gear.  We layered socks for mittens and we had these boots
