Tuesday Talk: Nails

Happy Tuesday, y’all!  

The sun is shining and it feels like it is going to be a great week!  

It’s time for Tuesday Talk! This is always fun because we can share whatever we want and still get to link up with other fun bloggers. 


Today I wanted to discuss all the cute manicures I keep seeing on everyone BUT more specifically the really cute nail strip/ sticker options!

Before Covid, I would only get a mani/ pedi for  special occasions or just every once in awhile for a little pampering. I think the last mani/ pedi was right before D was born in August 2019.  😳 


I keep seeing people (on Fb and Insta) with really cute nails. Different nail colors on each finger, glitter and designs! What?!?! 

I don’t have time to spend an hour at the nail salon so I really feel like the nail strip option is what this mama needs. I have researched a little but thought I would ask here too. 

I have really small fingernails so should I consider a kid option. Color Street, Target brand or Wal- Mart?!! Amazon?! How long do they tend to stay on?  Easy to apply? If you have any advice or information, please tell me what you know!

    I really struggle with painting my nails, and not picking them off. I don’t have any strip options I use, but I love the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry! It truly does dry in about 60 seconds and does not take much time to do!

    I want some nails to put on as well. I still get my nails done, but want to stop for awhile and save some money.

Ahhhhhh, it's my favorite day of the week! Anyone else feel like January is flying by?! Kinda loving it because spring is coming.  I am joining Erika and Andrea for their fabulous link up:  ONE:    We went on a little trip to the Tyler Zoo on Sunday.  It is a smaller zoo than Dallas or Ft. Worth but I tend to enjoy them even more because it is more manageable with the boys. We saw some great animals!  This longhorn was beautiful!  The lion was very active and kept roaring.   He was so loud and could be heard all over the zoo.  These guys scared me because I thought the cage was empty until I spotted them in the corner.   The only downfall for me was that there were way too many people not wearing masks for my comfort level.  We have visited 2 other smaller zoos in the past few months and generally most people will wear a mask even though we are outdoors. Happy Wednesday, friends!  Today, I am joining Anne from  In Residence  for her monthly  Currently   post.  The first Wednesday of the month she provides a one word prompt to discuss and share. These are so fun to write up and to read.   Currently Arranging: Our  new rug! We had been waiting on one we ordered back in December that was a Magnolia rug but after the date of arrival getting pushed back several times we just decided to get something in stock. We ordered both rugs from the furniture store we got our sectional. We are loving our new rug!  Currently Craving:  Ahhhh, without a doubt my mom’s home cooking. Hello Monday: Currently

Ahhhhhh, friends! Last week was a doozy. I love you TX but not your crazy weather.  Then  Now  I thought today I would just share a few things currently on my mind or currently going on in our life. It will be random but that’s how it goes!  #1- As you know, TX got hit with snowstorms and very frigid temps last week. At times, we were even colder than Alaska.   We heard from our family and friends and some were dealing with the rolling outages, no power for hours which went into days, and no water.  We were very lucky because our only issue was spotty cable/ internet. It was hard knowing that others were suffering while we were okay. However, we did what was encouraged and that was to conserve energy and water. We unplugged appliances, lowered our heat, and used only the microwave or air fryer to cook meals.  We did get to enjoy the snow, had a snowball fight  and made snow angels.  We had to improvise when it came to our snow gear.  We layered socks for mittens and we had these boots
