HAPPY FRIDAY!   We made it! I hope you had a good week.  I am so excited to share some fun and light-hearted favorites from this week.  ONE: Do clothes ever speak to you?  Because, they do to me all the time.  This favorite was definitely an impulse buy. A closer look at that stunning color and sparkle!  In my defense it was on sale from $46 to $26. I don’t know where in the world I will wear it but I felt I needed it. It is beautiful, makes me happy, and I love a bargain.  TWO: I found some really cute bracelets. Up first, these adorable heart bracelets from Target.  I ended up with both by accident. The red is going back to the store and the black is a keeper.  AND These wooden bead bracelets from Apple Blvd are perfect for spring and summer. I plan to combine the heart with these too.   THREE: I put together a little package for my parents. I found the shirt at Wal-Mart and my dad is getting a little green $. It will be a nice surpris...

Hey everyone, I am so excited that March is here!  September 1st = fall and March 1st = spring!   Or, at least that is what I think. It just feels like we should start celebrating on the first of these months. Why wait? I definitely want to take advantage of all that spring brings!  I tend to get a little more motivation around this time of year so a little spring cleaning is on my to-do list. It is much needed at our house. Today, I am joining Anne from In Residence for her monthly Currently post.  The first Wednesday of the month she provides a one word prompt to discuss and share. This is my first time joining but these kind of link ups are my favorite.  Here we go!  Currently Choosing:   I am currently choosing outfits for the boys to wear for a little photo session.   I am the absolute worst at taking pictures and capturing moments. You’ve seen my pictures! Not.So.Good. A friend who happens to be an amazing photographer has been taking our ...

Friday Favorites: 2/26/21

Happy Friday!  I can’t believe it is the last Friday of the month.   This week my favorites are going to be short and sweet just like February. As always,  I am joining Erika and Andrea for: ONE: After snowmageddon, our first fast food meal was breakfast from McDonald’s. These drinks are some of my favorites!  B got us a mango pineapple smoothie, a caramel frappe, and a strawberry banana smoothie.  Yum! Their smoothies are probably not the healthiest so we usually  grab them as a treat. Of course, frappe was for me!  TWO:   I was needing a heat protectant for  my hair because I wasn’t really using one. My hair was starting to look fried at the ends. You guys, this one is a good one! After using it for a few weeks, I love it!  I had heard of the brand before but had never used any of their products.  It has been great to only have one bottle to keep up with and it does so much.  Sold!  THREE:    I ordered the...

Monthly Musings: February 2021

Image
Hey everyone!  It is time for Monthly Musings.   I am so excited to join Patty and Holly today.  The last Thursday of the month we answer some questions about a certain topic. This month we are talking spring fashion essentials.  I am so excited to share!   Even though all I currently wear is leggings and shirts, I always enjoyed getting dressed up for work. My high school superlative was Best Dressed đŸ˜¹ so it has been a long love affair with fashion and clothes.  I mean, that has got to count for something and give me credit on all things fashion. Right?!?!   This month we are answering these questions:  What are your spring must have pieces? A great pair of white jeans Blue jean jacket, are those still cool?  Tan sandal/wedge- Specifically for me, I have wanted the Steve Madden travel sandals for a long time.  Now there are even more choices: a clear sandal and a wedge. I might finally pull the trigger and buy a pair. ...

Hey, it’s  What’s Up Wednesday!   Each month we share what’s going on in our lives. A little about what we are eating, loving, dreading, watching, listening to, and so much more!   Linking up with: What we’re eating M- buttered pasta, green beans, and TX toast T- chicken fried steak, instant mashed potatoes, carrots, and salad ????  What I’m reminiscing about Since we are coming up on the one year anniversary of COVID, I have been thinking a lot about life before it hit.  My job, the kids going to daycare,  seeing family without hesitation...just a lot of those thoughts.   What I’m loving These sunnies from Apple Blvd What I’ve been up to Just pinning away on my Pinterest boards.  I have completely remodeled our master bedroom, laundry room, fireplace, and pantry on Pinterest.    What I’m dreading  It’s not really dreading but now is the time to be submitting resumes and interviewing for the 21-22 school year. I feel like I h...

Ahhhhhh, friends! Last week was a doozy. I love you TX but not your crazy weather.  Then  Now  I thought today I would just share a few things currently on my mind or currently going on in our life. It will be random but that’s how it goes!  #1- As you know, TX got hit with snowstorms and very frigid temps last week. At times, we were even colder than Alaska.   We heard from our family and friends and some were dealing with the rolling outages, no power for hours which went into days, and no water.  We were very lucky because our only issue was spotty cable/ internet. It was hard knowing that others were suffering while we were okay. However, we did what was encouraged and that was to conserve energy and water. We unplugged appliances, lowered our heat, and used only the microwave or air fryer to cook meals.  We did get to enjoy the snow, had a snowball fight  and made snow angels.  We had to improvise when it came to our snow gear.  We ...

Valentine’s Day Recap

Image
Hi, friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  We woke up to snow on Valentine’s Day which made the day a little magical.  C thought it was awesome and he couldn’t wait to make snow angels and cruise in the snow.  Today, I am joining The Other Side of the Road, My Glittery Heart, and The Sirois Family for:  I  LOVE  Valentine’s Day! Like, I really love it so I wanted to recap our day so that way I can remember all that we did. We had decorated earlier in the month by adding hearts, heart wreaths, and heart garland around the house.  I added more decorations the night before so that when the boys woke up it looked like hearts exploded everywhere, Happy Heart Day!  We had a “Love You Breakfast!” Chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and strawberry milk were on the menu. The boys loved all their Valentine goodies and were on a bit of a sugar rush.  We  I definitely indulged in all the sweets. B gave me exactly what I wanted...chocolate covered...
